Nancy has been teaching dance successfully for 20 years, and several of her former students have gone on to study dance at a post-secondary level.  Many are actively teaching dance themselves or working professionally in the dance, theater,  and performing arts industry.  Nancy has been a full member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association since 1986. She and her staff have been dancing since childhood, and as teachers have continued to train at The National Ballet School of Canada's Teachers Training Workshop, The Pulse at Broadway Dance Center in Toronto and New York City, The Jump Rhythm & Jazz Project, Dancelife Teachers Conference, Dance Fusion, Extreme Dance, Monsters of Hip Hop, Be Discovered, and Coastal Dance Rage to name just a few. Our faculty has taken class with an extensive list of world reknowned dancers, teachers, and choreographers, in an effort to stay ahead o the current trends in both training and choreography. The studios competitive dance team is well known and respected throughout Ontario, and has garnered many first place trophies, as well as Overall High Score, Choreography, and Adjudicator's Choice Awards since it was first established. The studio has been successfully entering students in professional dance exams with excellent results since the studio opened it's doors in 1991.

Our studio is presently located in the Porcupine Mall, highway 101 East, South Porcupine. We have one medium and one large studio, each equipped with a professional sound system, sprung floors, wall and floor mounted ballet barres, high ceilings and two fully mirrored walls. We have two private washrooms, a locker room, a small student lounge and large change area. The mall location offers a great break for parents, and we are conveniently located near a Tim Horton's. There is a large viewing area of the main studio in the reception area, for those parents wishing to stay and watch their child's progress. Our receptionist is always there to assist you in anyway she can.

Nancy Delmonte is a full member of Canadian Dances Teacher's Association, and our dance curriculum is based on their syllabus, as well as others. Examinations, or testing, are offered to our students through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (C.D.T.A.). These exams are based on the Association's National Dance Syllabus in ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics. Tap exams are taken individually, while ballet and jazz exams are taken in small groups. Examiner's are certified dance teaching professionals from the Association, who travel around to grade students from various studios throughout the province and nationwide. Students successfully passing exams will receive a certificate from the Association, and can be assured that their skills and training are meeting nationally acceptable standards. Students passing their elementary level exam are eligible to take their teaching exam, to gain membership in the association.

Recital is a chance for the students to get performance experience and show-off all they've accomplished with the flair of a Broadway production. Our annual spring recital consists of two evening and one afternoon performance inlate May or early June. Recital is not mandatory, however most students choose to participate. Recital costumes are purchased individually at a cost of between $60 and $100 dollars. A deposit of $60 / costume is required at the time of registration. Costume deposits are non-refundable after January 1st.

Students register for the entire year, September until June. Our dance program consists of weekly classes over a 33-week period. Payments are divided in three installments - Sept. 1st, November 1st, and March 1st. These payments can be made using post-dated cheques at the time of registration, or in advance of actual date. Students with unpaid fees by the specified dates will not be able to participate in lessons until all fees are paid. Refunds are available prior to these dates if students should decide to discontinue their dance studies for the 2nd or 3rd semester. No refunds are given after the 2nd week of regular dance class, except at the Predance level. Optional payment plans may be available upon request.
